Greene was born in Jacksonville, Florida, and is the daughter of Michele (née Tatum), who works in insurance, and Joe Greene, a U.S. Marine who now owns his own concrete business. She grew up in Middleburg and Jacksonville, and went to University Christian School before transferring to Wolfson High School when she was in tenth grade. She moved to Los Angeles, California, at the age of 17 to pursue an acting career. Greene has an older brother named Joe, who still resides in Jacksonville with their parents.

Knowles rose to fame in the late 1990s as the lead singer of the R&B girl group Destiny's Child, one of the world's best-selling girl groups of all time.

During the hiatus of Destiny's Child, Knowles released her debut solo album Dangerously in Love in 2003, which spawned the number-one hits "Crazy in Love" and "Baby Boy" and became one of the most successful albums of that year, earning her a then record-tying five Grammy Awards. Following the group's disbandment in 2005, Knowles released her second solo album, B'Day in 2006. Early life

Born to a Filipina mother and Irish/Scottish father, Mitchell is a native of Toronto, Ontario. Even as a young child, Mitchell was interested in the performing arts, declaring to her parents that she would pursue such a career. Mitchell began dance lessons at the age of five, and she and several of her classmates toured the city to compete with a variety of other dance schools.

At the age of 10, Mitchell's family moved west to Vancouver, British Columbia. Within a year of their arrival, an international modeling agency held an open casting call for teen and pre-teen girls who were vying for representation. Mitchell was one of the girls selected.

Career

By her late teens, Mitchell had successfully modeled for a variety of companies in cities as varied as Bangkok, Hong Kong and Barcelona, but she later returned to Toronto to study acting. After signing with her first theatrical agency, Mitchell appeared in the Canadian teen drama series Degrassi: The Next Generation and booked several national commercials.

Mitchell also landed a recurring role in the Disney XD series Aaron Stone. She has featured in the music video for recording artist Sean Paul's song "Hold My Hand", appeared in the Global series Rookie Blue, and modeled for the American clothing company, American Eagle Outfitters. Early Life

Smulders was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, to a Dutch father and a British mother. She was named after her Dutch great-aunt, Jacoba, for which she gained the nickname "Cobie".

As a child Smulders wanted to be either a doctor or a marine biologist but started to gain an interest in acting in high school, appearing in several school productions. She finished high school in 2000 at Lord Byng Secondary School with high honors, being voted "Most Respected". Discovered by a modelling agency in her teens, she started to model internationally. In an interview with Venus Zine, Smulders said she “kind of hated” modelling and the experience made her hesitant about pursuing acting as a career initially: “You know you go into these rooms, and I’ve had the experience of people judging you physically for so long and I was over that. But then it was like, ‘Oh no, I have to actually perform. I have to do well, and I have to have a voice, and I have to have thoughts now.’”

Acting roles

Smulders' first role was as a guest in the Showtime sci-fi series Jeremiah, and she has guest starred in several television series since, including a recurring part in The L Word. Off-Broadway, she has performed in Love, Loss, and What I Wore.

Her first permanent series role was in the short-lived ABC series Veritas: The Quest; her second was the series for which she is most well-known, the CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother, where she plays television reporter Robin Scherbatsky, also a Canadian. Joss Whedon has suggested that he considered her for the role of Wonder Woman in his draft of the (cancelled) eponymous film. Smulders has been cast to play Maria Hill in the upcoming film The Avengers, based on the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name.

Personal life

Smulders resides in Los Angeles, California. On November 26, 2008, TV Guide reported that Smulders and boyfriend Taran Killam were expecting their first child in 2009. On January 28, 2009, the couple announced their engagement. Their daughter Shaelyn Cado Killam was born on May 16, 2009.

Beginning in early 2009, Prescott played Emily Fitch in Skins series 3 and 4, with characters known as the "second generation". Prescott stated on her official website in March 2010 that she had a role in the pilot of Goth. Prescott subsequently confirmed on her website in late April 2010 that she was scheduled to start filming Goth, set in London, in August of the same year.
Prescott has been reported to be reprising her role as Emily for the upcoming Skins movie.

Personal life

Kathryn is six minutes older than her twin sister Megan, and has a total of 14 body piercings. In providing her "Top Ten Playlist" on the Skins official website, Prescott named Röyksopp, The Cardigans and Metallica as among her favourite music. In response to a fan's question on her official website, Prescott revealed that she would prefer to not label herself regarding her sexuality, and that 'labels are for cans' (following rumours regarding the homosexuality of her character in Skins), but does not believe that "people are defined by their sexuality", suggesting that "it doesn't change who you are as a person". Following another question, she revealed that while she is not 'strictly' a vegetarian, she is wary of what meat she consumes.
